Zoffany traces in direct tail female line to ETOILE FILANTE, who is also the ancestress of AT TALAQ, ONE POUND STERLING and BLEEP BLEEP.
Zoffany is very strong in the ALMAHMOUD family, carrying members Danehill, Machiavellian, Halo and a triplication of Northern Dancer. As Halo is unusually represented by a daughter in Zoffany’s pedigree, HALO sire line broodmares will create a sex balanced duplication. He can be sourced via MORE THAN READY, DON’T SAY HALO, FUJI KISEKI, SOUTHERN IMAGE, irgunand SUNDAY SILENCE line mares.
Zoffany’s second damsire Suave Dancer is from the family of HABITAT, DANCER’S IMAGE, NORTHFIELDS, SEIGNORIAL and NINE CARAT, all tracing to KHARA. Broodmare sires carrying Habitat include ARCH SCULPTOR, METAL STORM, GRAND LODGE, BARATHEA, LORD SEYMOUR, EASY ROCKING, EXPORT PRICE and MAGIC ALBERT. The duplication of Hail To Reason in Zoffany’s pedigree invites the inclusion of fellow NOTHIRDCHANCE taproot family member MEADOWLAKE. He can be found in daughters of HENNY HUGHES and GREENWOOD LAKE. Mares carrying daughters of Hail To Reason will also complement the two sons in Zoffany. BELONG TO ME and CAERLEON carry daughters of Hail To Reason. CAERLEON can be found in mares by ALQUOZ, BLETCHLEY PARK, GENEROUS and TENBY.
Zoffany’s grandsire Danehill has traditionally welcomed the presence of STAR KINGDOM in mares. The chief sources of Star Kingdom today include MARSCAY, BISCAY, CANNY LAD, BLETCHINGLY, KENNY’S BEST PAL, LUSKIN STAR, COVETOUS, TODMAN, SHIFNAL and BUREAUCRACY.
