Encosta De Lago’s sire Fairy King is a brother to SADLER’S WELLS and TATE GALLERY and a three quarter brother to NUREYEV, all of whose female descendants are great candidates for matings with Rubick. Damsires such as STRAVINSKY, SPINNING WORLD (see above), GALILEO, HIGH CHAPARRAL, MONTJEU, STARCRAFT, PEINTRE CELEBRE and CARNEGIE are suitable, amongst many others.
Encosta De Lago is from the FANFRELUCHE family. Other members include FLYING SPUR, HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR, KHELEYF, D’ACCORD and L’ENJOLEUR (who appears in the pedigree of sires ST.
