Reset has produced two stakes winners at this early stage of his stud career. Group 3 winner Rebel Raider is out of a mare by DEHERE. He offers Secretariat to reinforce his half brother Sir Gaylord, who is present on Reset’s sire line. Other sources of Secretariat include mares by BEAUTIFUL CROWN, STORM CAT line, TOBOUGG, KINGSTON RULE, GRAND LODGE and LION CAVERN.
Reset’s other stakes winner Likefatherlikeson is out of a STAR WAY mare. Star Way and Sir Tristram (grandsire of Reset) have an affinity originating from the fact that they trace to the same ancestress. Star Way can be sourced via FILANTE, ARK REGAL, INTERSTELLAR, SKY CHASE, TELESTO and ENCOSTA DE LAGO (as damsire).
Zabeel’s damsire Nuryev is a three quarter brother to SADLER’S WELLS. Sadler’s Wells-line mares are available in Australasia via SCENIC, BARATHEA, GALILEO and CARNEGIE.
It follows that daughters of Sadler’s Wells’ full brother FAIRY KING (such as HELISSIO and ENCOSTA DE LAGO) and their brother TATE GALLERY will also be compatible.
Reset’s damsire Zeditave is out of a mare by Crowned Prince. A sex balanced duplication can be created with mares by PRINCE ECHO.
His second damsire Assert is a close relation of LAST TYCOON. Zabeel’s Group One winning daughter Hill Of Grace is out of a Last Tycoon mare. Last Tycoon is sire of O’REILLY, BIGSTONE, FUBU, IGLESIA, KNOWLEDGE, MARJU, MONDE BLEU, MAGIC OF MONEY, POLIUTO and TOWKAY.
Zabeel has had particular success with mares by VICE REGAL. Group One winners Hades, Grand Echezeaux, Greene Street, Our Unicorn and Jezabeel are out of Vice Regal mares. The daughters of his son VITE CHEVAL should also suit Reset.
DANZIG and his son DANEHILL have worked well with Zabeel. DANZIG is damsire of Maldivian; DEFENSIVE PLAY (by Danzig) is damsire of Efficient; and DANEHILL sired Group One winners Dizelle and Subscribe have produced stakes winners by him.
Reset’s third damsire First Landing is a close relation to BLUEBIRD. This broodmare sire has also produced Group One winner Zagalia by Zabeel.
