Analysing the major stakes winners by Nadeem’s sire Redoute’s Choice will assist in finding the most compatible mares for Nadeem.
Golden Slipper winner Stratum is out of a LUSKIN STAR mare, while dual Group One winner Fashions Afield is out of a BLETCHINGLY mare. CANNY LAD, BRAVE WARRIOR, KENNY’S BEST PAL, STAR WATCH and TRUE VERSION are sons of Bletchingly. Other Star Kingdom line sires to look for include KAORU STAR, HURRICANE SKY, BUREAUCRACY and COVETOUS. Brilliant two year old Amelia’s Dream is out of a ST. COVET mare.
Champion mare Miss Finland is out of a WOODMAN mare, while Group Three winner Get Square is out of a mare by fellow MR. PROSPECTOR line sire, THUNDER GULCH. Others from this line include BELLOTTO, HUSSONET, EL MOXIE, UMATILLA, VETTORI, STRAIGHT STRIKE and RHYTHM.
Redoute’s Choice has worked extremely well with SIR TRISTRAM line mares, as he has a daughter of Sir Ivor in his pedigree to sex balance Sir Tristram, a son. Nadeem will suit Sir Tristram mares even more so, as he carries Alcide, a relation of Sir Tristram’s damsire, Round Table. Apart from Sir Tristram himself, Redoute’s Choice has produced stakes winners out of his daughters of ZABEEL, MARAUDING, SOVEREIGN RED and MILITARY PLUME.
Sir Tristram’s fellow SELENE family member STAR WAY has also had success with Redoute’s Choice. Group One winners Empire’s Choice and God’s Own are from this sire line, with Group Three winner Leveller also from a Star Way mare. God’s Own is out of a mare by Star Way’s son, SKY CHASE.
NIJINSKY II line mares have also worked well with Redoute’s Choice. Group One winners Anamato (WHISKEY ROAD) and Cheeky Choice (CAERLEON) are examples. Other dam sires from this line include WESTERN SYMPHONY, YEATS, SERHEED, BLETCHLEY PARK, ROYAL ACADEMY and SEA ROAD.
SNIPPETS is the damsire of full relations Snitzel and Viennese.
The HALO line will also be sought after for Nadeem. Group One winner Undoubtedly is out of a DON’T SAY HALO mare, while Group Two winner El Daana is out of a SUNDAY SILENCE mare. MORE THAN READY, IRGUN and FUJI KISEKI are others from this line.
Nadeem’s damsire Sound Reason is by Bold Reason. A sex balanced duplication can be achieved with mares from the SADLER’S WELLS line. Bold Reason’s half brother NEVER BEND is also desirable in mare pedigrees.
Redoute’s Choice is from the family of dam sires such as UMATILLA, HURRICANE SKY, EL GRAN SENOR, THE MINSTREL, (sire of PALACE MUSIC), NIJINSKY II, DR. JOHNSON and SPINNING WORLD.
