Mossman is strong in the MARCHETTA family, carrying Klairon (twice) and Alycidon. He should appreciate the presence of fellow MARCHETTA family members such as TURN-TO, MY BABU, BLEVIC, TESTA ROSSA, ALVARO, CAGIRE II, BUSTINO, SAYANI, BOREALIS, ACROPOLIS, AGRICOLA, HOTFOOT, GENERAL, AMBIORIX, RAPIER II, IMPERIAL PRINCE, IMPERIAL SEAL, IRISH RIVER, STUNNING and PHARAMOND II. Most of Mossman’s leading stakes winners carry at least one of the above reinforcements to this line. Several of these (OFCOURSEICAN, SEGMENTS, PURE ENERGY, PLUCKY BELLE, PRINCE BRAEMAN, RACING EIGHT, AGISTER, PARRIWI) do so through SIR TRISTRAM, who carries both My Babu and Turn-To. CENTURY carries My Babu as does HUSSONET, while DESERT SUN offers Hotfoot from this line.
STAR KINGDOM line stallion BLETCHINGLY (particularly his son CANNY LAD) has had good success with Mossman. Five of his fifteen Group winners to-date carry Bletchingly including Golden Slipper winner, MOSSFUN (inbred to Canny Lad).
The DANZIG line is also doing well with Mossman. Group 1 winners BUFFERING, MOSSFUN and MISS MOSSMAN carry this influence.
A very interesting feature of Mossman’s pedigree is the presence of PRINCE JOHN and EIGHT THIRTY via his sire Success Express. These two not only work well together, they also have an affinity with BOLD RULER and WAR ADMIRAL. Mares carrying any or all of these ancestors are very appealing for Mossman. For instance, the dam of his tough dual Group One winner BUFFERING carries Prince John (twice), Eight Thirty, Bold Ruler and War Admiral (twice). Group Two winner LOVE CONQUERS ALL carries Prince John and Bold Ruler through his dam. Ready sources of these influences include BERNARDINI, DANEHILL, SALIERI, DEHERE, CARNEGIE, BRIEF TRUCE, MAGIC ALBERT, ROCK OF GIBRALTAR, BROCCO, ROYAL ACADEMY, HUSSONET, SECRET SAVINGS (and son DASH FOR CASH), IS IT TRUE, BITE THE BULLET and AIR DE FRANCE.
Mossman is strong in the PRETTY POLLY family via Luthier, Great Nephew and Nearctic and a duplication of Donatello II back on his sixth remove. The way is paved for more Nearctic, sire of NORTHERN DANCER, NONOALCO (sire line of FALVELON), BRIARTIC, EXPLODENT (sire of YOUTHFUL LEGS) and ICECAPADE (sire line of FAVORITE TRICK). The dam of Dual Group One winner BUFFERING is inbred to Northern Dancer.
Daughters of EXCITES, ORATORIO (Aus) and in future, DUPORTH and TICKETS create a dynamic sex balanced duplication of Success Express with Mossman.

You can’t anymore, he’s retired. His son Love Conquers All, is the only sire offspring.

Yes, Mossman has been retired, and with the nature of our industry (with shuttle stallions etc) many of the stallions which I have previously analysed and are posted on my website (Mossman posted in 2014) are no longer standing, or not standing in Australia.
Hopefully mare owners thinking of going to Love Conquers All could derive some information from the Mossman article, and those with daughters of Mossman can also utilise the information in reverse.
