Tough and talented, Material Man is out of Hussonet mare Del Lirio, who was purchased as a yearling by Pedigree Dynamics for the MacDermotts. Her mating with Perth based sire Vital Equine creates the successful Danehill / Mr Prospector cross as well as multiples of US influences Roberto, Bold Ruler, Princequillo and War Admiral amongst others.
To-date, Material Man has had 28 starts for 14 wins and over $1.6 million for his lucky owners.
