Dubleo’s damsire Secretariat has a well known affinity with STORM BIRD. Damsires such as GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, DOLPHIN STREET, TALE OF THE CAT, FORESTRY, BLACK MINNALOUSHE, HENNESSY, JOHANNESBURG, STATUE OF LIBERTY, PURREALIST, SHAMARDAL, HIGH YIELD, VAN NISTELROOY and HENNY HUGHES, should suit. Dubleo’s triple Listed winner DUBLEANNY carries Strom Bird through his son, BLUEBIRD.
Secretariat is a half brother to SIR GAYLORD, who is most easily accessed via the SIR TRISTRAM sire line. Sources of Sir Tristram in mares include KAAPSTAD, LONHRO, MARAUDING, MILITARY PLUME, OCTAGONAL and ZABEEL.
Dubleo’s second damsire is Nijinsky II. This reinforcement is already working, with stakes placed son Queenian carrying The Minstrel and smart city winner Dublette being a daughter of Hurricane Sky. The dam of smart winner The Thief carries a duplication of Nijinsky II.
More Than Ready, a fellow son of Southern Halo, is enjoying great success with the MR. PROSPECTOR line. Dubleo’s daughter, dual city winner Keystone Rose, is out of a WOODMAN (by Mr. Prospector) mare. Mr. Prospector line damsires such as BELLOTTO, DISTORTED HUMOR, EL MOXIE, FAPPIANO, FUSAICHI PEGASUS, GEIGER COUNTER, HUSSONET, KINGMAMBO, JADE HUNTER, MISWAKI (and son UMATILLA), RHYTHM, SECRET SAVINGS (and son DASH FOR CASH), STRAIGHT STRIKE, THUNDER GULCH and UNBRIDLED’S SONG will also suit Dubleo.
More Than Ready has worked well with Colonial lines and it appears that Dubleo is also working this way. His Group 3 winner KOONOOMOO is out of a RORY’S JESTER mare and second damsire is LUSKIN STAR. Stakes winner SILVERSANDS’ second damsire is CENTAINE. Triple Listed winner DUBLEANNY is out of a CANNY LAD mare and Gr.3 placegetter Queenian carries ZEPHYR BAY.
