This sire’s wonderful success rate in both hemispheres can be analysed to identify the best lines to send to him in Australia.
Mr. Prospector line mares are particularly appealing, with Dehere producing Group winners such as Take Charge Lady, Belle of Perintown, Soto, Graeme Hall, Outta Here, Win’s Fair Lady, Descapate and Political Wife from Mr. Prospector line mares. Australasian broodmare sires such as HUSSONET, RHYTHM, WOODMAN, STRAIGHT STRIKE, UMATILLA, GEIGER COUNTER, BELLOTTO, EL MOXIE, JADE ROBBERY, distorted humor, END SWEEP, INFLATE, VETTORI, THUNDER GULCH and SECRET SAVINGS are good candidates.
Mr. Prospector’s sire Raise A Native also contributes a few of Dehere’s stakes winners. This suggests mares by sires such as ZOFFANY, CLEAR CHOICE and RAISE A CUP (damsire of Oamaru Rhythm) will appeal.
Dehere works well with STAR KINGDOM and in particular, descendants of his son BISCAY. Biscay’s son MARSCAY has produced Bollinger, Defier and Comhere with Dehere, De Lollies is out of a mare by Biscay’s grandson CANNY LAD while Cousy and Lisson Grove are out of BLETCHINGLY mares. Here De Angels is out of a granddaughter of ZEPHYR ZIP; Monterosso is out of a BISCAY mare and Starhere is by Star Kingdom’s grandson LUSKIN STAR.
Multiple stakes winner Natural Blitz is out of a mare by ZABEEL. Other stakes winners carrying the SIR TRISTRAM line are Bollinger (second damsire) and Fleet, who is out of a MARAUDING mare.
The BLUSHING GROOM line is also significant for Dehere. Red Hannigan is out of a PRE EMPTIVE STRIKE mare, while in the U.S., Morning Sun is out of a Blushing Groom mare. Mares by such Australian based broodmare sires as NASSIPOUR, QUEST FOR FAME, RAINBOW QUEST, REDDING and SPECTRUM are examples.
The CENTURY line is also doing well with Dehere. Gr.3 winner Galapagos Girl and SP’s Fleur De’here and The Original all hail from Century line mares.
Other top Australian stakes winners by Dehere include Belle Du Jour (BALMERINO), Lady Dehere (SUCCESS EXPRESS), Feel The Noise (CHIMES SQUARE) and Mirror Mirror (RUSTIC AMBER).
