Americain is by Champion US Sire Dynaformer, a son of the great Roberto. In Australia, the Roberto sire line has been most prominently represented by Red Ransom. He and his sons work especially well here with mares carrying LAST TYCOON, BLETCHINGLY, SUCCESS EXPRESS, DANEHILL / DANZIG and MR. PROSPECTOR.
Dynaformer himself had great success with the MR. PROSPECTOR line. In particular, he nicked well with his son SEEKING THE GOLD, with two of his Gr.1 winners being out of Seeking the Gold mares. He is grandsire of Swettenham’s own DASH FOR CASH. Mares by Mr. Prospector line sires such as BELLOTTO, DISTORTED HUMOR, EL MOXIE, FAPPIANO, FUSAICHI PEGASUS, GEIGER COUNTER, HUSSONET, KING CUGAT, JADE HUNTER, RHYTHM, STRAIGHT STRIKE, THUNDER GULCH, UMATILLA, UNBRIDLED’S SONG and WOODMAN will suit.
Americain’s dam is a half sister to Gr.2 winner MAJOREIN by Mr. Prospector’s son, MACHIAVELLIAN (sire of STREET CRY, NO EXCUSE NEEDED and VETTORI).
Dynaformer is out of a His Majesty mare – as is DANEHILL. While Dynaformer has had very limited exposure to Danehill, he has worked well with his sire, DANZIG, producing 76% winners to runners. Of the 19 winners, 8 were stakes performers. Apart from Danehill and sons, other DANZIG line broodmare sires here include AD VALOREM, ANABAA, BELONG TO ME, BIANCONI, CHIEF’S CROWN, DESERT SUN, GOLDEN SNAKE, HARD SPUN and PERUGINO.
As Americain carries Nijinsky II through a son, REDOUTE’S CHOICE (by Danehill) will be especially appealing, as he carries a daughter of Nijinsky II and is also from the same female line.
Dynaformer’s damsire His Majesty will appreciate the presence of his brother GRAUSTARK and close relation, WHISKEY ROAD in mares.
Dynaformer has produced two Gr.1 winners out of mares by DIESIS, a brother to KEEN and KRIS. Their sire Sharpen Up can also be utilised. Mares by DANEHILL DANCER, CHOISIR, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, CHURCHILL DOWNS, SWITCH IN TIME, FAMOUS STAR, COLLEGE CHAPEL, ELMAAMUL and VALIXIR all carry these influences.
Daughters of STORM CAT and his sire STORM BIRD have also worked exceptionally well with Dynaformer, amongst their produce being two Gr.1 winners. Sources of this sire line include TALE OF THE CAT, BLUEBIRD, DOLPHIN STREET, HENNESSY, MUKADDAMAH, CATRAIL and LAKE CONISTON.
A descendant of the Turn-to sire line, Americain will appreciate mares carrying Turn-to’s fellow family member, MY BABU. Damsires carrying this influence up close include HUSSONET, RUBITON (damsire of DASH FOR CASH), EUCLASE and CENTAINE.
Americain’s damsire Arazi is a three quarter brother to NOVERRE. His daughters will make a dynamic match with Americain.
